Innovative developments at the IMPRESS Symposium 2016

01/07/2016

On Monday, 20 June 2016 Novuqare was a guest speaker at the IMPRESS Symposium 2016: Next Generation Technologies in Leeds. About 60 attendees listened attentively to the latest developments in the field of taking care of and treating incontinence. The topics were wide-ranging. From stretchable electrodes for implants (so the electrodes will remain in their place after being placed near a nerve for, for example, neuro-modulation of the bladder) to a new type of material that is smoother than lubricating jelly (e.g. for the easier insertion of a catheter). Novuqare was invited to tell about the innovation of the MAPLe and the challenges of developing and successfully marketing a revolutionary product. The presentation was well received and in England too, not only  specialists, pelvic physiotherapists and researchers but also patients show a great interest in working with the MAPLe or being treated with it.

During the day many new ideas were presented and collaborations between researchers, industry and patients were discussed. Novuqare is proud to be a partner in this network and is looking forward to the future cooperation with people from this community.
