More details about the content of the training sessions:

  1. BASIC Training: This workshop is suitable for beginners with MAPLe® or for therapists who want a refresher on all MAPLe® options. We won’t delve deeply into diagnostic and therapeutic skills during this training. However, we’ll look at MAPLe® developments, app features and settings, and provide a brief introduction to an electromyography case.
  2. EMG Training (ElectroMyoGraphy): Here, you’ll learn all about interpreting MAPLe® line graphs and grids. Why is this important? MAPLe® is a unipolar probe, not a bipolar one. This has many advantages but also means interpreting the line and grid differs from bipolar probes. We’ll cover all aspects and make you an expert in interpreting the graphs. Biofeedback use will also be discussed during this session.
  3. ES Training (ElectroStimulation): Do you remember all the physics behind electrostimulation? Or do you focus more on preset settings? In this workshop, we’ll discuss the physics of electrostimulation and specific treatment options with MAPLe®. Which rings/plates do you use and why? What phase duration or frequency do you use for fast twitch, slow twitch, pain, or urge or detrusor inhibition? By the end of this workshop, you’ll be able to address these questions.
  4. Clinical Reasoning Workshop (CASE STUDIES): For this workshop, participants bring in their own case studies. We’ll discuss the cases as a group and translate them into patient complaints and next steps. Active participation is expected from the participant during this course.

Prerequisite for participating in the clinical reasoning workshop: completion of EMG and ES training sessions beforehand.
